Job Description/Overview:

Agilent Technologies is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the Spectroscopy (SPSD) team in Canada, managing Account Managers, Product Specialists, and Inside Sales Reps. This role oversees sales operations, strategies, and outcomes for the Canadian SPSD business, emphasizing successful sales, customer-first focus, and market visibility. Responsibilities include developing and implementing sales strategies, customer relationship management, and ensuring team success in achieving business objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Oversee Canadian SPSD sales activities, planning forecasts, and developing policies.

 

Implement strategies to enhance customer relationships and achieve business objectives.

 

Set short- and long-term sales goals aligned with company objectives.

 

Lead a team of sales professionals, ensuring successful outcomes and market growth.

 

Qualifications:

 

BS in life sciences or related field; PhD, M.S., or MBA preferred.

 

Strong first or second-level management skills with sales experience focused on customer outcomes.

 

5+ years of experience in life sciences or applied market equipment sales.

 

Experience:

 

Proven track record in leading a sales team and achieving growth.

 

Knowledge of Canadian markets, including academia, government, environmental, mining, and energy sectors.

 

Bilingual (English and French) preferred.

 

Skills:

 

Strong communication and leadership abilities.

 

Expertise in Canadian market dynamics and customer relationship management.
