Job Description/Overview:
The Dispatcher will coordinate and dispatch personnel and equipment for transportation and logistics. Responsibilities include ensuring smooth operations, maintaining records, and handling both scheduled and emergency dispatches. The role requires strong knowledge of dispatching regulations and transportation practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure proper functioning of equipment.
Maintain work records and logs.
Perform general office duties.
Dispatch personnel according to schedules, work orders, and emergency needs.
Track shipments and follow up on work order issues.
Coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment.
Record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses.
Process and transmit information to coordinate vehicle operations.
Schedule assignments for vehicle operators.
Qualifications:
College/CEGEP education or equivalent experience.
Experience:
2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Skills:
Knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations.
Understanding of highway trucking rules and regulations.
Bilingual in English and another language (required).
