Job Overview

The Assistant Front Desk Manager is an entry-level management role responsible for leading daily shift operations across front office areas like Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard, and Guest Services/Front Desk. This position aims to ensure guest and employee satisfaction while achieving the operating budget. The role also includes assisting with financial and administrative responsibilities.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Front Desk Team Support: Lead, influence, and motivate the team; advocate for sound financial decisions; handle employee questions and concerns; ensure smooth shift operations.

 

Guest Service & Front Desk Goals: Oversee daily operations to meet quality and service standards, handle guest complaints, and maximize room revenue.

 

Customer Service Excellence: Strive for high customer satisfaction by understanding and addressing guest needs, managing complaints, and encouraging team members.

 

Policy and Program Support: Assist in implementing customer recognition programs and managing guest information tracking systems.

 

Human Resources: Identify team development needs, mentor employees, and participate in the performance appraisal process.

 

Qualifications

 

High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in guest services or a related field, OR

 

A 2-year degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related major with no required experience.

 

Skills

 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

 

Leadership and problem-solving abilities

 

Knowledge of front desk operations, Bell Staff, and Concierge/Guest Services

 

Compensation

$24.04 to $26.92 per hour, with comprehensive benefits including health care, 401(k), stock purchase plan, paid time off, life insurance, and more. Eligibility and conditions apply.
