Job Description/Overview:
Flimby Primary School is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated individual to join our Key Stage 1 team as a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant. This part-time, fixed-term role involves working closely with a Year 1 student, providing individualized academic, physical, and emotional support. The position is linked to specific requirements under an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP), making this role ideal for someone passionate about inclusion and student well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to a Year 1 student with specified needs to enhance learning, participation, and social inclusion.
Support the child in academic, physical, and emotional/behavioral/medical areas on an individual basis.
Collaborate with various networks and partnerships to maximize learning opportunities and support quality service delivery.
Promote the inclusion and learning of students with SEND, focusing on enhancing service standards.
Qualifications:
Experience in a similar support role is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to child-centered learning.
Experience:
Prior experience working with children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) is advantageous.
Skills:
Compassionate and patient approach to student interaction.
Ability to work within a team and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
