Job Description/Overview:
The Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a compassionate Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to join their team in Canterbury. The role involves providing home-based care as part of a local nursing team, monitoring the quality of care, and supporting patients’ well-being. Patients may include elderly individuals, recently discharged patients, or those with physical disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in line with care plans.
Monitor and report on patient care quality.
Support patients of varying ages, often in home settings.
Qualifications:
Level 3 qualification (NVQ/QCF Diploma or Advanced Apprenticeship) or equivalent.
Literacy and numeracy at Level 2 or GCSE grade A-C in English and Maths.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and IT packages (EPay, E-roster, etc.).
Skills and Attributes:
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Adaptable and empathetic approach.
Ability to prioritize care and work effectively under pressure.
Additional Information:
Flexible working hours, including one weekend shift in four.
