Position: Sales Manager

Location: Salt Lake City, UT, United States (Remote preferred in Southwestern US area)

Job Description/Overview:

Join our Sales & Marketing team as a Sales Manager to lay down the foundation for strategic business development in Hexcel’s Space and Defense business. This role goes beyond sales; you will be the driving force behind the strategy to expand our business and customer relationships. You will gain incredible business acumen in the aerospace industry and composite materials through hands-on experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Generate new sales from existing and new customers with a focus on defense aerospace, space, and launcher market opportunities.

 

Work closely with cross-functional teams to create strategies and manage the sales deliverable process.

 

Lead customer solution development by analyzing customer needs and maintaining communication between customers and internal resources.

 

Own sales forecasts and maintain them using ERP tools, communicating risks associated with changes.

 

Lead pre-sales prospecting and sell business value to customer decision-makers.

 

Develop deep knowledge of Hexcel products and understand how customers value them.

 

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree in business, aerospace, chemical or mechanical engineering, or related discipline.

 

5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or related fields.

 

Demonstrated experience with new sales development and customer interactions.

 

Experience:

 

Experience with contract negotiations, supply chain, and project management.

 

Track record of developing creative solutions that enhance profitability.

 

Skills:

 

Understanding of basic commercial and financial principles.

 

Proficient in MS Office Suite (advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Teams, Dynamics 365, and ERP/MRP experience.

 

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
