Moana New Zealand is seeking a dynamic and adaptable Communications and Social Media Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Group Communications & Sustainability Manager, this role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact by enhancing our brand and image through compelling storytelling and innovative digital strategies.
This is a hands-on position where no two days are the same. You’ll need resilience, initiative, and a willingness to learn as you juggle multiple priorities, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and adapt to last-minute changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create engaging content for digital platforms, including social media and internal communications.
- Measure, analyze, and report on activities against key business metrics.
- Manage and maintain the company intranet, website, and monthly newsletter.
- Enhance the company’s brand and image by leveraging digital channels to tell impactful stories that promote the workplace and its people.
Mōu | About You
You are a confident, people-oriented communicator and a proactive digital content creator with experience in communications and social media. You thrive in commercial environments and have the creativity to craft compelling content while maintaining a strategic focus.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience:
- A tertiary qualification in digital media, communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in social media and content creation, ideally in the primary industry, FMCG, or a similar sector.
- Proficiency in social media analytics, reporting, Adobe Creative Suite, and photography.
- Strong administrative, project management, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn Te Reo Māori and tikanga Māori.
