Job Description/Overview:
The Caregiver provides personal care and support to residents, assisting with daily activities such as meal service, grooming, bathing, and maintaining a safe, clean environment. Tasks are performed in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow Resident Care Plan to assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, and nutritional needs
Assist residents with ambulation, transfers, and medication administration
Support meal preparation, laundry, and housekeeping duties as directed
Observe, report, and document resident conditions, safety hazards, and activities accurately
Comply with HIPAA policies to protect resident health information
Stay updated on DHS 83 and 89 state regulations and attend mandatory in-service training
Qualifications:
High School education
Six months of experience as a personal aide or caregiver, or equivalent experience
CNA or MA certification preferred
Reliability and flexibility in scheduling, with availability for weekends and holidays
Strong communication, organization, patience, and professionalism
Knowledge of state and federal healthcare compliance standards
Experience:
Six months of experience as a personal aide, caregiver, or related role
Skills:
Excellent attendance and flexibility
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Organizational skills for task prioritization
Ability to meet daily resident care needs with patience and professionalism
Knowledge of safety and health compliance standards
