Job Description/Overview:

Southern Cross University is looking for an Administrative Officer to support the Student Support and Success Office. The role involves providing administrative assistance to the Director, Senior Managers, and Managers, primarily in the Student Support Portfolio. The position includes general administrative duties, finance management, HR support, and ensuring that students with disabilities have equitable access to higher education.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Serve as the main administrative contact for the Student Support Portfolio, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

 

Perform financial tasks, such as managing purchase orders, invoicing, reporting on student loans, and reconciling corporate cards.

 

Conduct data entry and HR tasks, including employment processing and staff onboarding.

 

Facilitate urgent student support services, particularly for students with disabilities.

 

Qualifications:

 

Certificate-level qualification and at least two years of administrative experience (University administration experience is advantageous).

 

Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders.

 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, finance, booking systems, CRM, and university systems is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time, continuing (permanent) with part-time options available

 

Salary: $72,947 – $78,337 per annum plus 17% superannuation, total remuneration up to $91,654
