Staff Nurse – Paediatric Outpatients

Job Description/Overview:

Seeking a Band 5 Nurse for the Paediatric Outpatients team to deliver high-quality nursing care and support future service developments..

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Deliver specialist healthcare services for children and young people.

 

Work across sites including RMCH, Withington, and Paediatric satellite clinics.

 

Coordinate and lead outpatient clinics and assist specialist Nursing teams.

 

Perform phlebotomy and lead Nurse-led clinics.

 

Qualifications:

 

Essential: RN Child, Degree or Diploma.

 

Desirable: Teaching Qualification, Venepuncture and Cannulation trained.

 

Experience:

 

Ability to work independently and within a team.

 

Supervision and support of junior staff.

 

Evidence of teaching and assessment abilities.

 

Awareness of clinical audit.

 

Skills:

 

Knowledge of clinical governance and current nursing issues.

 

IT/Computer literate, with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

 

Effective communication skills.
