Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Manager of Compensation, the Compensation Analyst will support the development, analysis, implementation, and administration of Wipfli’s compensation programs and strategic initiatives related to base and variable pay. You will collaborate with leadership at all levels to provide expertise in addressing complex business challenges while supporting the overall compensation strategy.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Participate in salary surveys and conduct market research to develop and maintain compliant, innovative, and market-competitive compensation programs.
- Drive the full life cycle of compensation activities, including salary increase benchmarking, budget setting, administration of salary planning cycles, and communication.
- Act as a primary point of contact for compensation-related matters, engaging with business units as a consultant and advisor to address talent challenges.
- Evaluate and document job responsibilities and requirements, ensuring compliance with FLSA and responding to inquiries about compensation and job leveling.
- Support the administration of the compensation review cycle, including merit increases, promotions, and incentive programs, ensuring data integrity and employee communications.
- Assist with HR systems activities, including data preparation, testing, validation, auditing, and reporting.
- Develop pay dashboards and analytics as needed.
- Participate in or lead special projects aimed at enhancing the firm’s attraction and retention initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a professional compensation analyst role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CCP certification preferred.
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
- Experience presenting complex information to non-technical audiences.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and assume responsibilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and recommend solutions.
- High degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness in project completion.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and approach opportunities flexibly and creatively.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Compensation:
The estimated pay range for this position is $66,000 – $89,000. Compensation is determined by various factors, including location, skills, experience, training, licensure, certifications, business needs, and applicable employment laws. Eligible candidates may receive an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and firm performance.
