Job Description/Overview:
The housekeeper will handle a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks in the employer’s home, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, laundering linens, and shopping for household supplies. Optional accommodation is available on a live-in basis (not a condition of employment).
Key Responsibilities:
Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
Dust furniture and vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstery
Make beds, change sheets, and distribute clean towels and toiletries
Stock linen closet
Clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
Launder clothing and household linens
Perform general housekeeping duties
Shop for food and household supplies
Qualifications:
No degree, certificate, or diploma required
Experience:
Experience an asset
Skills:
Ability to perform light housekeeping and cleaning tasks
