About Alto Pharmacy:
Alto Pharmacy’s Design and Research team plays an essential role in shaping the products and services we deliver within the pharmacy industry. Our team collaborates closely with engineering and product management to identify key focus areas and gather insights that inspire design and strategic decisions.
As a Staff Product Designer at Alto Pharmacy, you will craft and deliver best-in-class product experiences across Alto’s full suite of products. You will bring deep expertise in designing for the enterprise context to shape future SaaS solutions that enable Alto’s partners to scale their impact. You’ll work with a team of passionate designers and researchers dedicated to building world-class patient and provider experiences, alongside systems that support pharmacists in delivering the best care possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Turn ambiguous, broad problems into delightful solutions that significantly impact users.
- Lead the end-to-end design process, from research to strategy and experimentation.
- Utilize your full stack of design skills (e.g., interaction, visual, prototyping) to create exceptional experiences.
- Mentor and inspire other designers, offering feedback and guidance.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of product design experience with a focus on user-centered design.
- Experience in healthcare, health-tech, or other highly regulated industries.
- Proven expertise in designing for web and mobile applications, with a strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design processes.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
- Strong understanding of interaction design, visual design, and usability principles.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale design projects and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior designers.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly and advocate for the user experience.
- Passion for healthcare and improving patient and provider experiences through thoughtful design.
Additional Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience designing and building enterprise product integrations.
- Supported user research in collaboration with a UXR lead.
- Knowledge of UX content design principles.
Physical Job Requirements:
- Reading, following instructions, preparing and analyzing data, and viewing computer terminals.
- Clear oral communication and receiving detailed information through oral communication.
- Frequent motions required to operate computers or phones.
- Occasional tasks involving lifting objects up to 20 pounds and operating motor vehicles.
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary Range: $180,000 to $245,000
- Equity Eligible: Yes
- Travel: No
