Job Description/Overview:
Ruddington Manor Care Centre is a purpose-built facility providing care for 66 residents with various needs, including residential and nursing care. Rated GOOD in all domains by CQC, we prioritize the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care. We are looking for a kind, caring, and motivated Senior Care Assistant to support the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager in providing leadership to the care team and effective 24-hour management of the home.
Salary: £13.50 – £27.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
Promote the highest standard of person-centered clinical nursing care to residents.
Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the care team ensuring quality delivery of care during the shift.
Act as a role model demonstrating person-centered care delivery.
Take responsibility for safeguarding the welfare of adults in your care.
Oversee the delivery of residents’ personalized care plans.
Support the Deputy and Home Manager in promoting professional standards.
Provide supervision, coaching, and assessment to Care Assistants.
Ensure effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care through written care plans.
Maintain accurate records as required by the company and regulatory bodies.
Manage daily rotas and delegate workloads for safe manpower use.
Build relationships with external professionals.
Assist in regular quality audits of care plans.
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent.
NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or a willingness to achieve it within the first 12 months.
Medication management and administration experience.
Experience:
Experience working with older people.
Skills:
Good oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated self-motivation and confidence.
Knowledge of the six principles of care and their application in a residential/nursing setting.
