Job Description/Overview:

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking an Office Assistant to perform secretarial duties, contributing to our mission of achieving excellent health for nearly 30,000 people across rural, southwest Alaska.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Perform secretarial duties including typing, shorthand, filing, answering telephones, and making copies.

 

Maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment independently.

 

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse personalities.

 

Work independently and maintain accountability for tasks.

 

Qualifications:

 

High School Diploma or equivalent.

 

Experience with office machines (multi-line telephones, computers, fax machines, etc.).

 

Strong computer skills.

 

Good human relations and oral/written communication skills.

 

Excellent organizational skills.

 

Experience:

 

Experience in an office environment preferred.

 

Skills:

 

Organizational skills.

 

Ability to handle confidential information.

 

Calm, tactful, and diplomatic demeanor.
