Job Description/Overview:
Carbon 60 is seeking an experienced Construction Logistics Site Manager to oversee the planning and implementation of logistics for a major construction project. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of material movements and compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning/Programming:
Plan internal and external logistics routes, ensuring vehicle, machinery, and pedestrian separation.
Ensure logistics activities do not constrain the project schedule.
Implementation:
Set up traffic and pedestrian management systems.
Maintain logistic routes and road cleanliness.
Delivery Management:
Control materials entering and leaving the site.
Provide logistics instruction to supply chain partners.
Manage site movements and keep accurate records.
Safety:
Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Conduct safety inspections and ensure team safety training is up to date.
Fire Management:
Maintain fire points and lifesaving equipment.
Team Management:
Lead a team of operatives and ensure effective material distribution and waste management.
Qualifications:
CSCS card (required)
SSSTS (required)
Traffic marshall training (required)
First Aid (optional)
Experience:
Track record of delivery within a construction management or logistics function over the past 3 years.
Strong communication and IT skills (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
