Job Description/Overview

 

At Suncorp Bank, part of the ANZ Group, the role of the Sales and Service Banking Consultant is to assess customers’ financial needs and provide tailored options. The role is part-time, offering 20 flexible hours per week, with additional hours required during the first 3 months of training.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Generate opportunities for deposits and home lending through the agreed sales process.

 

Provide recommendations to the Branch Manager to improve the store’s sales performance.

 

Process over-the-counter transactions (deposits, withdrawals, and transfers) accurately and efficiently.

 

Promote and assist customers with electronic banking methods such as ATM, Phone Banking, and Internet Banking.

 

Identify and escalate risks and issues related to customer service requests and complaints.

 

Qualifications

 

Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, or a related field are desirable.

 

Previous experience in a retail customer sales and service environment is required.

 

Strong analytical skills to identify key issues and recommend solutions.

 

Strong attention to detail and ability to process tasks accurately.

 

Ability to recognize and support change initiatives and contribute to commercial strategies.

 

Experience

 

Proven experience in retail customer sales and service.

 

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

 

Skills

 

Analytical skills to develop and recommend solutions.

 

Strong attention to detail and commercial acumen.

 

Proficient in change management and ability to support team initiatives.

Additional Information

 

Flexible part-time role, 20 hours per week.

 

Must be available to work Monday to Thursday (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM) and Friday (9:00 AM – 5:15 PM).

 

The first three months will require some full-time hours for training purposes.
