Job Description/Overview
Populous is a global design firm specializing in sports, entertainment, and civic venues. As the Human Resources Director, you will oversee HR functions within the Americas region, collaborating with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies for talent acquisition, management, employee relations, compensation, and compliance with employment laws. The ideal candidate will have experience in the AEC (architectural, engineering, and construction) industry and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
Collaborate with the Americas Region Board on key decisions and HR initiatives.
Lead a high-performing HR team and promote a culture of inclusion.
Oversee talent management, employee engagement, and recruitment processes.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and manage employee relations issues.
Assess compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness.
Analyze HR metrics and provide strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Knowledge of visa sponsorship processes is required.
SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred.
10+ years of HR leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Experience
10+ years of progressive HR leadership roles, preferably in the AEC industry.
