About the Role
Are you a meticulous accountant with a passion for precision and financial management? Knose is seeking a Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate monthly management accounts, maintaining economic control of business operations, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and financial efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial reports, including account and bank reconciliations.
- Vendor and Expense Management: Ensure all vendor invoices and employee expenses adhere to company policies and authorization matrix.
- Customer Billing Support: Collaborate with operational teams to resolve customer billing inquiries.
- Compliance & Taxation: Ensure compliance with local tax, accounting, and auditing regulations, including working with external tax accountants on GST recording.
- Workflow Management: Proactively manage your workflow, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in line with company procedures.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, such as banks, auditors, and legal counsel.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Assist in financial projects, such as calculating channel partner commissions and conducting premium breakdown reconciliations.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in accounting, with proven proficiency in financial management and reporting.
- Technical Skills: Strong expertise in accounting software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional time management and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all financial tasks.
- Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with external stakeholders and maintain effective communication.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
- Problem-Solving: Confident and proactive in improving workflows and challenging established processes when needed.
