Job Description/Overview:
Olam Agri Americas is seeking a Global Commodity Researcher for its Cotton Trading team in Richardson, TX. The successful candidate will collect and manage data, develop economic forecasting models, collaborate with stakeholders, and generate detailed reports to support decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and manage fundamental data from public, proprietary sources, and industry participants.
Develop models to forecast economic trends in supply, demand, and trade.
Communicate with stakeholders and take ownership of research processes.
Prepare detailed reports, market briefs, and presentations highlighting key findings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in economic research, trade statistics, or financial analysis.
Commodity-related experience is a plus.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in economic research, commodities, or financial analysis.
Skills:
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
