Position: UX Researcher

Job Description/Overview:
The UX Researcher will be an integral part of the United UX design team, conducting design research to inform the design process from discovery to visual design. The role involves developing and executing research plans, methodologies, and reporting findings to inform design development. The goal is to transform unmet user needs and business opportunities into successful product launches by conducting user research throughout various design phases.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and user experiences.
Collect and analyse user behaviour using lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, A/B testing, and more.
Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other UX Researchers to prioritise research opportunities.
Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research.
Advocate research findings through reports and in-person presentations.
Source and manage targeted testing audiences.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge of usability and UX research tools and techniques such as field research, benchmarking, and card sorting.
5+ years of usability research experience.
Strong understanding of user interface design practices.
Strong moderation skills and group facilitation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree.
Experience conducting remote usability testing and focus groups.
Experience with web and mobile platforms.
Background in human factors, interactive design, or market research is a plus.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in UI and UX research.
Skills:
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Analytical thinking and creative problem-solving.
Ability to work independently and in teams.
