Job Description/Overview:
Join Merck’s Immunology Team and help lead the charge in delivering innovative solutions for immune-mediated diseases. The role involves advancing the commercial strategy for a novel monoclonal antibody targeting Ulcerative Colitis (UC) and Crohn’s Disease (CD). This position will be pivotal in executing a successful launch and establishing a leadership position in competitive markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive global strategies in coordination with cross-functional teams.
Lead strategic projects for product strategy and commercialization pre-launch.
Collaborate with regional markets to create a commercial framework and clinical development plan.
Serve as the commercial representative for the Manufacturing Division.
Work with medical affairs to shape scientific strategy and priorities.
Liaise with US and Research & Development to address data gaps for commercial value.
Develop senior leadership engagement strategies and coordinate congress planning.
Manage budget and annual long-range forecast assumptions.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in marketing, sales, or market access in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
At least 5 years of demonstrated in-line marketing experience.
Minimum 2 years of immunology experience for external candidates.
Skills:
Strong leadership and collaborative skills.
Strategic thinker with analytical capabilities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Gastroenterologists and Gastro KOLs.
Global marketing and launch experience.
Experience building brand strategies and engaging multi-country markets.
Travel: Approximately 20%
Salary Range: $181,600.00 – $285,800.00 per year, based on skills and experience.
