Job Description/Overview:
Epic Games is looking for a Senior Tools Programmer to join their growing team, collaborating with Disney to build innovative new experiences and technology. The successful candidate will provide tools-related support to artists, designers, animators, and other members of the development team, ensuring the productivity of game development and content pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tools-related support to artists, designers, animators, level designers, and other team members.
Build a clear understanding of the full technology stack, from editor to in-engine test pipeline.
Build and sustain strong relationships within the Epic family, ensuring well-discussed and socialised solutions.
Improve existing tools and design/implement new tools to support collaboration with Disney.
Track, report, and follow up on productivity blockers, editor crashes, and other technical issues.
Prioritise and solve issues based on feedback from internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience working on and shipping large game projects.
Excellent C++ programming skills.
Proficiency in software engineering principles.
Experience writing UIs using toolkits such as WPF, QT, or Slate (UE UI system).
Familiarity with asset conversion pipelines and large-scale asset management.
Experience with DCC plugins (Maya, Max, Blender, or Houdini).
Knowledge of cloud APIs (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in English (written and verbal).
Experience:
Significant experience in game development and tools programming.
Demonstrated ability to support large-scale game projects.
