Job Description/Overview:
As a Retail Sales Development Manager, you will play a key role in delivering the company’s objectives by engaging with Premier and Family Shopper retailers to support and develop their businesses. Reporting directly to the Retail Development Controller, you will work with a team of Retail Development Managers (RDMs) as part of the Regional Retail Team.
This role involves managing a portfolio of retailers and helping them improve their store offerings to consumers. You will also recruit new business, challenge underperforming stores, and ensure feedback is provided to the retail functions. This is a field-based role with some remote work and occasional weekend and bank holiday duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and advise a portfolio of Premier and Family Shopper retailers
Recruit new business from competitors and independent retailers
Challenge underperforming stores and support improvement
Share feedback with retail functions
Promote a positive company culture where ‘Everyone is Welcome’
Qualifications:
Proven career success with strong influencing and relationship-building skills
Commercial understanding and remote field-based work experience
Experience:
Experience in retail development or a similar role
Ability to implement and manage changes in a retail environment
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to make pragmatic decisions and advise customers on best practices
High resilience and adaptability in a changing landscape
