Job Description/Overview:
The Home Care/Nursing Assistant works under the supervision of senior nursing staff and provides support to patients, particularly newborns and toddlers, by assisting with daily hygiene, patient care, and other activities. The role involves adhering to care plans provided by nurses or medical doctors and maintaining a clean and safe patient environment. The workplace may vary, including hospitals, clinics, or patient homes. This role is open only to female candidates who are local hires residing in Qatar with a valid QID and NOC.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with daily hygiene activities, including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and diaper changes
Maintain a clean, pleasant, and safe environment for patients
Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to the charge nurse and family
Support the mobility and comfort of patients following charge nurse instructions
Adhere to basic infection control procedures such as hand hygiene and environmental cleaning
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and uphold professional boundaries
Report any ethical or behavioural concerns to the supervisor
Collaborate with the nursing team and management to adjust work schedules as needed
Demonstrate professional communication and behaviour, especially in conflict situations
Qualifications:
High School Diploma and Nursing Assistant Certificate OR
2 years of Midwifery program from a recognized institution OR
3 years of nursing diploma following nine years of general education
Experience:
At least 12 months of relevant healthcare experience, preferably in Qatar
Skills:
Attention to detail
Professional communication skills
Strong work ethic and high morale
Ability to plan ahead and work proactively
Flexibility to adapt to unplanned circumstances
Proficiency in English, both oral and written
