Job Description/Overview:
Aerotrack Logistics LTD is seeking responsible and skilled long haul truck drivers to transport goods and materials across various locations. The role involves operating articulated trucks, ensuring vehicle safety, and working as part of a team to transport goods efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
– Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
– Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks.
– Oversee the vehicle’s condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
– Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
– Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping and handling dangerous goods.
– Perform brake adjustments and preventive maintenance.
– Relay information to central dispatch and maintain records of cargo, service hours, and fuel consumption.
Qualifications:
– Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
– Training will be provided; no prior experience is necessary.
Experience:
– No experience required; will train.
Skills:
– Attention to detail in ensuring vehicle and cargo safety.
– Ability to work in a team or convoy environment.
– Communication skills for dispatch coordination.
