Position Overview
We are seeking Market Researchers to join our team on a project basis. This role involves conducting phone-based, structured interviews with market participants and industry experts to gather key insights on industry dynamics, competitive landscapes, and market trends. Your research will directly contribute to client deliverables, helping business professionals make informed investment and strategic decisions.
This position is ideal for individuals who are looking for variety, enjoy fast-paced environments, and are eager to expand their business acumen across multiple industries. Each project typically lasts three weeks, with work hours from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Researchers who excel may be continuously staffed on subsequent projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structured, phone-based interviews with industry experts and market participants
- Gather both quantitative and qualitative data to develop insights on key industry players and market dynamics
- Write up interview results to be directly included in client presentations and deliverables
- Collaborate with teams of 3-5 researchers to deliver high-quality market insights to clients
- Maintain confidentiality of client deals by working under a separately branded entity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree is a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable conducting phone-based research
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills
- Preferred experience in phone-based research, marketing, journalism, or writing
- Bilingual interview experience is a plus (e.g., Canadian French)
- Availability from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, five days a week, for 3-4 week projects
- Professional remote working conditions, including a strong internet connection and quiet calling environment
