Job Description/Overview:
5054801 Ontario Limited is seeking a Personal Support Worker to provide nursing care on-site. The role involves supporting patients with daily activities, monitoring their health, and ensuring their comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
– Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities
– Supply and empty bedpans
– Take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
– Serve meal trays and assist with feeding
– Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients
– Make beds and maintain patients’ rooms
– Supervise patients’ exercise routines
– Maintain inventory of supplies
– Bathe, dress, and groom patients
– Transport patients using wheelchair or stretcher
– Answer call signals to determine patients’ needs
– Collect specimens
– Administer first aid in emergency situations
Qualifications:
– Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
– First Aid Certificate
– CPR Certificate
Experience:
– 7 months to less than 1 year
Skills:
– Physically demanding
– Attention to detail
– Ability to handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
