Assistant Manager, Restaurant

Job Description/Overview: 

The assistant manager will oversee daily operations of the restaurant, including budget analysis, staff supervision, inventory management, and customer service.

 

Key Responsibilities:

– Analyse and develop budgets to maintain restaurant profits

– Evaluate daily operations and modify food preparation methods

– Monitor revenues, staff performance, and labour costs

– Plan and organise daily operations, recruit and train staff

– Enforce health and safety regulations and manage inventory

– Address customer complaints, manage events, and negotiate with suppliers

 

Qualifications:

– College/CEGEP education

 

Experience:

– 1 to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role

 

Skills:

– Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

– Strong leadership, organisational, and customer service skills
