Job Description/Overview:
The Truck Driver will operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials, load and unload cargo, and ensure vehicle safety and compliance. This role involves frequent travel and working across various locations.
Key Responsibilities:
– Drive and operate straight or articulated trucks
– Load and unload goods
– Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
– Maintain records of cargo, service hours, and fuel consumption
– Ensure safety and security of cargo
– Communicate with central dispatch
Qualifications:
– Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks)
– Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)
– Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience:
1 year to less than 2 years
Skills:
– Knowledge of flatbed, straight trucks, and tractor-trailers
– Experience with local, long-haul, and international transportation
– Ability to handle physically demanding and repetitive tasks
Salary:
$22.00 per hour
