Job Description/Overview:
The Truck Driver will operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Responsibilities include loading and unloading goods, overseeing vehicle condition, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
– Drive and operate straight or articulated trucks
– Load and unload goods
– Perform vehicle inspections and maintenance
– Handle and transport dangerous goods
– Pay and receive payments for goods
– Maintain and operate GPS and other navigation equipment
Qualifications:
– Air Brakes Endorsement
– Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
– Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience:
7 months to less than 1 year
Skills:
– Knowledge of accident/incident reports, bill of lading, and driver logbook
– Ability to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions
– Experience with dump trucks and tractor-trailers
Salary:
$28.00 per hour
