Job Description/Overview
Busy Bees at Moreton Bay is seeking passionate Early Childhood Educators to join their team. The role involves creating nurturing and engaging learning environments, developing age-appropriate curricula, and building strong relationships with families. The centre emphasises respectful relationships with children, providing uninterrupted playtime, and maintaining a calm, relaxed environment.
Key Responsibilities
– Create and implement developmentally appropriate programs for children
– Assess and document children’s progress
– Foster strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
– Ensure high-quality care and compliance with industry standards
Essential Qualifications
– Certificate III, Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent)
– Current and valid Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one
– First Aid Certificate including training in asthma and anaphylaxis
Essential Skills and Attributes
– Ability to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
– Understanding of developmental milestones and needs of various age groups
– Capability to design and evaluate educational programs
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
– Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team
– Adaptability to different situations in an early childhood setting
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
– Familiarity with national early learning frameworks
– Understanding of quality standards and assessment processes
– Respect for diverse cultures and individual needs
– Proficiency in using computers and relevant software for documentation
– Previous experience as an Educator, Assistant Educator, or similar role
