Job Description/Overview:
The Laundry Attendant will be responsible for operating laundry equipment, handling detergents and chemicals, and ensuring that laundry standards are met. The role involves working in a hotel laundry setting with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
– Operate dry-cleaning and washing machines, dryers, and blow-drying machines
– Mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other solutions and chemicals
– Hand fold and bag shirts, sheets, and other articles
– Assemble and bag finished articles
– Check finished dry-cleaned or laundered articles to ensure that establishment standards are met
– Record damage or improper cleaning or laundering of articles
Qualifications:
– No degree, certificate, or diploma required
– Will train
Experience:
– Training provided
Skills:
– Equipment and machinery experience, including washing machines
– Attention to detail
– Hand-eye coordination
– Ability to handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks
