Job Description/Overview:
Robinson Fans, Inc., a family-owned business since 1892, is seeking a dynamic Welding Engineer to join their team in Zelienople, PA. The Welding Engineer will focus on developing and improving welding and inspection processes to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency. This role involves working closely with production personnel to streamline projects and ensure the highest quality output.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)
– Collaborate with third-party labs for testing and certification
– Evaluate non-destructive test processes in compliance with standards
– Work with design engineering on welding geometry, materials selection, and failure analysis
– Support production in selecting and commissioning welding equipment
– Develop and document standardised welding processes
– Manage capital projects, including ROI preparation and project integration
– Build relationships with suppliers and innovative welding solutions
Qualifications Needed:
– Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering
– 2+ years of experience as a Welding Engineer, with hands-on welding experience preferred
– Experience in steel fabrication processes and non-destructive testing methods
– Project management skills, including working with internal and external stakeholders
– Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
– Dedication to safety and compliance with industrial standards
