Job Description/Overview
The General Manager will be responsible for developing and overseeing budgets, plans, and programs to optimize the utilization of resources and attain manufacturing objectives. The role involves driving profitability, implementing business strategies, handling crisis management, optimizing production capacity, and ensuring compliance with national laws and company policies. The General Manager will work closely with the senior management team to align on strategy development.
Key Responsibilities
– Develop and manage budgets, plans, and programs to ensure optimal use of equipment, space, facilities, and human resources.
– Drive profitability and implement business strategies to achieve the company’s objectives and stimulate growth and operational efficiency.
– Handle crisis management and tactical planning when necessary.
– Optimize production capacity to maintain effective inventory management.
– Collaborate with the senior management team to develop and implement company strategies.
– Liaise with local authorities to ensure compliance with national laws and regulations as well as group policies.
Qualifications
– Degree holder in Textile Technology, Clothing, or an equivalent qualification.
– Extensive experience in factory management within the garment manufacturing industry is essential.
Experience
– Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the garment manufacturing industry, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Skills
– Strong leadership and management skills.
– Excellent problem-solving abilities.
– Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Mandarin.
– Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
