Job Overview:
Plaid is looking for an Enterprise Sales Engineer to serve as the technical lead during the pre-sales process. In this role, you’ll partner with Account Executives to design solutions and overcome technical objections, driving the sales process forward. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless transition from pre-sales to post-sale, helping customers fully realise the potential of Plaid’s products within the Fintech ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
– Technical Leadership: Act as the technical product lead for enterprise accounts throughout the sales process.
– Collaboration: Partner with Account Executives to address prospects’ use cases and technical requirements, sharing best practices.
– Product Feedback: Work with engineering and product teams to translate prospect feedback into product insights.
– Client Management: Demonstrate a proactive and confident approach to client management with a strong sense of customer empathy.
Qualifications:
– Experience: 5-7+ years of customer-facing experience selling to large enterprises.
– Technical Acumen: Knowledge of web services, APIs, and related standards such as HTTP and REST, as well as mobile and web application architecture.
– Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and explain complex concepts quickly.
– Additional Skills: Payments and identity verification experience is a plus.
– Willingness to Travel: Ability and willingness to travel as needed for customer visits, office meetings, and team events.
