Job Overview:
Cloud Security Services is seeking a Digital Forensics Engineer Consultant to join their Threat Management Team. This role involves supporting forensics acquisition, analysis across various environments, and improving security posture through root cause analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
– Collect, process, analyse, and present digital evidence.
– Perform forensic triage to determine the scope, urgency, and potential impact of incidents.
– Conduct forensic analysis and write detailed reports.
– Investigate data breaches using both traditional forensic and cloud-specific tools.
– Support incident response engagements, including forensic investigations and long-term remediation.
– Document forensic workflows and manage chain of custody best practices.
– Mentor team members in incident response and forensics best practices.
Required Skills:
– Deep understanding of the forensic lifecycle and evidence acquisition across devices.
– Forensic analysis experience on Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Windows/Mac/Linux OS, and network devices.
– Knowledge of cloud-specific threats and ability to perform incident response in public cloud environments.
– Familiarity with forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, SIFT, Splunk, and network sniffers like Wireshark.
– 6+ years of incident response or digital forensics experience.
– Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in ambiguous, time-sensitive situations.
– Familiarity with security compliance frameworks like PCI, SOC 2, and FedRAMP.
Preferred Skills’
– Industry security certifications (CISSP, GIAC, AWS certifications).
– Networking experience with protocols such as OSPF, BGP4, EIGRP.
– Experience with detection tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys).
– Knowledge of common web application attacks and IoT platforms.
Education:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
– Cybersecurity certifications like CISSP, CISM preferred.
