Job Description/Overview:
The Associate Director, R&D Procurement & Supplier Management will develop and execute a multi-year R&D sourcing strategy in partnership with external partners across the R&D organization. Responsibilities include managing outsourced activities, vendor relationships, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure delivery of high-quality research activities on time, globally.
Key Responsibilities:
– Support onboarding of vendor resources and manage preclinical, translational medicine, clinical operations, and/or outcomes research activities.
– Collaborate with external partners and internal teams to ensure the delivery of materials and services on time.
– Continuously assess and improve vendor capabilities.
– Participate in annual business planning related to external partner expenditures.
Qualifications needed:
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in pharmaceutical R&D.
– Experience with outsourced drug development, clinical operations, and medical affairs outsourcing.
Experience:
– 3-5 years in healthcare/life sciences industry, project management, clinical operations, or medical affairs, with experience working with external partners.
– Experience with vendor selection and management for clinical studies.
Skills:
– Project management and negotiation skills.
– Ability to work in a matrix structure.
– Strong written and verbal communication.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and online meeting tools.
