Job Description/Overview:
Binance is seeking a Special Investigations Specialist for Special Projects. This role involves analyzing customer account data, on-chain and off-chain transactions, and other related information to assess activity nature and identify related entities. The position requires conducting detailed open-source research, identifying trends in abnormal or malicious activity, documenting research findings, and liaising with other teams to gather or provide information. The specialist will also offer feedback to enhance Binance’s security framework.
Key Responsibilities:
– Analyze customer account data, on-chain and off-chain transactions, account characteristics, and other relevant information.
– Conduct detailed open-source research to aid investigations or due diligence initiatives.
– Identify trends in abnormal or malicious activity and map out networks of bad actors.
– Document research steps, data sources reviewed, and conclusions drawn.
– Liaise with other teams to assist in gathering or providing information.
– Provide feedback to relevant departments to improve the company’s security framework.
Qualifications needed:
– 3+ years of experience in cybercrime or financial investigations.
– Proven track record in detecting cases or providing technical assistance in cryptocurrency investigations.
– Solid understanding of cryptocurrencies and differences between separate blockchains/networks.
– Subject matter expertise in DeFi (Decentralized Finance).
– Excellent writing skills with the ability to communicate findings clearly and concisely.
– Ability to analyze large amounts of data and excellent problem-solving skills, including thinking outside the box.
Bonus:
– Language skills in Mandarin, Russian, or Arabic.
– Experience with Python, R, or SQL.
– Experience with research project design and management.
– OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence) expertise.
Experience:
– 3+ years in cybercrime or financial investigations.
Skills:
