Job Description/Overview:

As an experienced Accounting Associate, you are responsible for all financial activities of the company (accounting, finance, treasury, budgets, financial reporting, and taxation). You manage accounting and finance to optimize the company’s performance. You monitor relevant performance indicators. You collaborate on optimal accounting and financial operations and ensure the company achieves its financial and operational performance objectives, respecting economic, social, and environmental issues.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Finance/General Accounting: You handle the company’s general accounting: preparation and recording of purchase and sales invoices, as well as customer and supplier payments; preparation of the amortization table and year-end entries; preparation of VAT and Intrastat declarations. You monitor receivables and customer collections. You are responsible for setting up and monitoring the treasury, as well as preparing monthly supplier payments.
  • Management Control – Performance: You ensure control, compliance, and continuous improvement of internal procedures. You are responsible for optimizing management control (implementation, analysis, and monitoring of KPI and performance indicators).
  • Financial Analysis: You prepare various ad hoc analyses and participate in special projects of the company’s accounting and finance department. You prepare dashboards and participate in the budgeting process and the establishment of financial projections.
  • Annual Accounts / Inventory & Stock Control: You control inventories and stocks and participate in the annual account closing.
  • Financial & Administrative Management – Contracts: You monitor the financial and administrative aspects of various contracts (insurance, service providers, customers & suppliers, as well as the company’s two parking lots). You are responsible for administrative formalities for external administrations and organizations (statistics, etc.).
  • HR Component: You are responsible for daily tracking of employee timekeeping, monitoring of overtime/leave, and sending data to the payroll service.
  • Regulatory Compliance: You ensure regulatory and tax compliance of the company and maintain a strong relationship with external stakeholders (banks, tax authorities, and external auditors).
  • Environmental Risks: You are sensitive to economic, social, and environmental issues and are committed to respecting relevant KPIs on economic, social, and environmental impact, such as carbon footprint, waste reduction, and employee well-being indicators.

 

Qualifications needed

  • Holder of a degree (Bac + 3 minimum) (finance, accounting, economics, management control, accounting expertise), you have 4 years of relevant professional experience, ideally acquired within an SME, commercial or industrial company, or a service company (fiduciary).
  • You have a good knowledge of complete accounting cycles and master financial analysis principles (ratios/indicators).
  • Analytical and logical, you have a structured and methodical approach.
  • You possess great adaptability, rigor, and organization.
  • Pragmatic, showing common sense, you are solution-oriented.
  • With a well-developed team spirit, you are open, engaged, and capable of developing a trust relationship with your team and various departments.
  • Thanks to your relational abilities and listening skills, you interact easily with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • You demonstrate absolute confidentiality and integrity.
  • You ensure the maintenance and follow-up of regulatory and tax compliance.
  • You master MS Office and accounting software (BoB). You are proficient in Excel and reporting tools.
  • You are comfortable with at least French and English at a very good operational level (and/or German, which is an asset!).
