Job Description/Overview:
An opportunity in our client’s fund department for a Funds Operations Officer. The role involves handling and following up on funds dealing operations
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and follow up on funds dealing orders (Subscriptions, Redemptions, Switches).
- Ensure timely sending and receipt of instructions.
- Follow up on pending instructions and request confirmations as needed.
- Place and monitor Redemption/Subscription orders on the market.
- Review reconciliation reports and book transactions promptly.
- Liaise with custodians and manage fund administration systems.
- Communicate professionally with other branches and departments.
- Maintain high-quality stakeholder relationships.
- Knowledge of the Spanish Market and Traspasos orders is an advantage.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications needed
- Degree in Finance, Banking, or related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant funds experience.
- Business/commercial acumen.
- Knowledge of the Spanish funds market and Mutual/Hedge Funds is beneficial.
- Fluency in English; Spanish is a strong asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools and custodian platforms.
- Knowledge of Avaloq is an advantage.
- Eager to learn with an understanding of financial trends and market activity.
- Numerate, analytical, and detail-oriented.
- Thrives under pressure with good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and client liaison skills.
- Team player with a positive, confident demeanor.
