Job Description/Overview:
The Certified Nursing Assistant will work in a nursing home or home for the aged, providing care and support to elderly patients. This role involves direct patient care and supporting the nursing team in a full-time, on-site capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assist patients with daily living activities and personal care.
– Monitor and record patient health status and report changes.
– Provide support and comfort to patients, including emotional support.
– Assist with medical procedures and administer medications as directed.
– Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Qualifications needed:
– Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
– Experience: 2 to less than 3 years in a similar role.
Experience:
– Experience in geriatrics and providing patient care in a nursing home or similar setting.
Skills:
– Ability to provide compassionate care and support to elderly patients.
– Strong communication and observational skills.
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
