Job Description:
Avocet Communications is looking for a Social Media Specialist to enhance our digital presence. This role involves creating and curating content, managing social media channels, attending events, and engaging with online communities. The position offers a mix of remote work and on-site presence in the Denver metro area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement social media strategies across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
– Create and optimize engaging content (written, video, photo).
– Collaborate with marketing teams and manage a social media calendar.
– Monitor social media channels, respond to messages, and review analytics.
– Assist with influencer marketing and repurpose client media assets.
– Stay updated on social media trends and best practices.
– Attend events and locations for live content creation.
Qualifications:
– Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
– Experience: Minimum of 1 year in marketing.
– Skills: Proficiency with social media platforms and tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud), video and photo editing, creative copywriting, and social listening.
– Other: Must be based in Northern Colorado or the Denver-Metro area.
Additional Requirements:
– Ability to work both remotely and on-site.
– Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
– Provide a portfolio of recent social media work.
Work Environment/Physical Activities:
– Requires prolonged sitting, keyboarding, and occasional lifting.
– Must be adaptable, handle stress, and communicate effectively.
