Job Description/Overview:
Spuerkeess is actively looking for a Team Manager – Compliance Monitoring Analyst (m/f/n) to strengthen its Conduct & Controls department.
- Manage an existing team of compliance monitoring analysts and prioritize tasks according to given objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate compliance with internal and external regulations and identify potential non-compliance risks.
- Establish, manage, and monitor the multi-annual control plan for the compliance function, organizing second-line defense controls.
- Identify compliance risks and create a risk map for all activities under surveillance.
- Execute second-line defense controls covering aspects of internal governance.
- Monitor the bank’s activities to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Create reports on compliance monitoring results and analyze potential violations and corrections made.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the implementation of compliance policies.
- Work with concerned departments to implement corrective measures in case of non-compliance.
- Keep up with changes in financial regulations to ensure the bank remains compliant.
- Analyze the effectiveness of existing compliance policies.
- Create and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of compliance procedures.
- Submit regular reports to regulatory authorities.

- Organize the entity’s work and manage unforeseen events by adjusting activity priorities.
- Carry out tasks and problem management on your own initiative.
- Consider alternative solutions and implement effective ones.
- Give clear directives to team members about tasks and expected results.
- Monitor collaborators’ work, provide objective and constructive feedback to correct actions if necessary, and recognize well-done work, i.e., on time and at the expected quality level.
- Ensure adherence to appropriate behavior and risk management standards, and remind rules as needed.
- Respond to the needs of interlocutors (external or internal clients) by providing quick but also personalized service.
- Assist interlocutors in finding suitable solutions using a transparent and objective advisory approach.
- Maintain contacts with interlocutors to guarantee the exchange of information and/or services.
- Identify and manage potential conflicts objectively.
- Maintain a healthy work environment, respectful of everyone, and in compliance with the Bank’s policies and regulations
Qualifications needed
- Holder of a Master’s degree in Finance, Banking, or similar.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the compliance field, focusing on managing and implementing internal policies.
- Proficiency in French and English; knowledge of Luxembourgish or German is an asset.
