Job Description/Overview:
The Container and Development Platform Team at Banque Internationale à Luxembourg is responsible, amongst others, to design and implement the tooling, processes and solutions aiming at improving code quality, reliability, and time-to-market of other teams’ products.
As a senior team member, you will conduct the design, implementation, testing and maintenance of the new or existing building blocks composing the Software factory. You will also be in charge of the enhancements of CICD pipelines, administration and management of the Container platform and definition of the overall technical architecture. You will also contribute to the production support for these applications, including week-end interventions and on-calls.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, support and improve the Software Factory
- Update & manage all the components: Jenkins, Gitlab, Nexus, SonarQube, Digitai.ai Deploy, Digital.ai Release
- Extend the scope of the Software Factory by helping other teams to integrate their technologies
- Implement and work on automated pipelines (Continuous Integration / Continuous Testing / Continuous Delivery), quality gates and dashboards
- Provide support to Development Teams
- Implement applications, scripts or plugins to automate or extend the platform
- Maintain and support Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)
- Manage the platform: set up, cluster configuration, run, maintenance
- Provide support to Development Teams
- Maintain and support the ELK Platform
- Manage the platform: set up, maintenance and enhancements
- Automate deployment / configuration process
- Provide support to Development Teams
- Drive the technical architecture definition of the solutions owned by the Container & Development Platform Team
- Provide guidance and advice on technical matters inside the Team and outside (chapters, community of practice …)
- Ensure, review and update good quality documentation (both technical and user)
- Design and deliver training on all the components and processes in the scope of the Team
- Contribute to the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) activities (governance, solution design, advisory…)
Qualifications needed
- Master’s degree in computer science. A bachelor’s degree with the expected experience is also accepted
- You have 8+ years of experience in a similar position
- You are familiar and comfortable with Agile methodology (SAFe, Scrum)
- You demonstrate creativity and initiative while respecting team-work and common objectives
- You are able to work in autonomy and take initiatives
- You are rigorous and organized in your activities
- You are a team player and keen to share knowledge and best practices with others and make them grow
- You do not hesitate to challenge solutions and debates with fellow developers to find best solutions
- You are expected to promptly address urgent request and you are effective in delivering within the agreed deadlines
Skills:
- Previous experience in application development process (Java, .Net, Python) with a CI/CD process
- Expertise in designing transversal components, Software Factory based components and technical architectures
- Experience / Knowledge with packaging tools: Maven, NPM, …
- Knowledge about containers and Kubernetes (OpenShift)
- Shell Scripting experience (including scripting with Groovy and Shell)
- Tools: Gitlab, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, Ansible Automation Platform, Digital.ai Release, Digital.ai Deploy, ELK…
- Experience with Azure Cloud as well as Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- You are fluent in written and spoken French & English. You are able to participate actively in English and French meetings.
