Job Description/Overview:
Savona Specialty Plywood, the largest and most technologically advanced producer of overlaid MDO and HDO concrete forming panels in North America, is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic tradesperson.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain forklifts (gas, propane, and diesel), work trucks, and aerial work platforms.
- Work safely in isolated areas for extended periods and utilize communication equipment for regular check-ins.
- Follow safe work practices and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and solve mechanical problems.
- Handle computer applications for purchase orders and work orders.
- Shift work may be required based on production/maintenance needs.
Qualifications needed:
- Minimum of five years of experience in an industrial setting.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Familiarity with computer applications.
Experience:
– Experience maintaining forklifts, work trucks, and aerial work platforms.
Skills:
– Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
– Ability to follow safety practices and procedures.
– Competency in using computer applications.
