Job Description/Overview:
We are looking for an Accountant Soparfi and SV (M/F) on a permanent contract.
Key Responsibilities
- You will take responsibility for a portfolio of companies, overlooking A to Z transactions including maintenance of accurate accounting records, cashbook entries, expenses, and payroll record keeping and posting of all necessary month/year-end transactions.
- Analysis of legal documentation (sales or purchase agreements, loan and subscription agreements, etc.).
- You will be responsible for preparing annual accounts according to Lux GAAP, Tax returns, periodic and annual VAT returns and regulatory returns (BCL reports)
- Handling inquiries from auditors, clients, and tax authorities, as well as addressing internal accounting-related issues, will be part of your responsibilities.
- You will have the opportunity to work with various clients
- Reporting on client needs and demands will be essential.
- Assisting with other accounting projects to improve the efficiency of the accounting processes will be part of your job including the guidance to the junior Accountant(s)
- You will stay informed of accounting, regulatory, tax and legal changes which impact the job role and advise management on needed actions.
Qualifications needed
- Diploma in Accounting, Audit, or Finance
- 2-3 years of professional experience in a fiduciary, experience in securitization is a must
- Familiarity with Luxembourg GAAP
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Proactive and initiative-driven
- Organized and methodical approach
- Effective task prioritization and workload management
