Job Description/Overview:
Golden Gate Mayfield Limited is seeking dedicated General Farm Workers to assist with various tasks related to crop harvesting and plant maintenance. This role involves outdoor work and requires flexibility and the ability to handle physical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
– Apply fertilizers
– Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots
– Manage water saturation, light, and temperature for crop growth
– Grade and sort vegetables and fruits
– Pack and harvest crops
– Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
– Shear and shape trees and plants
– Weed and examine product quality
– Tie and secure plants
Experience and specialization:
– Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
– Experience: Experience an asset
Qualifications needed:
– Ability to work independently and manage physical tasks
– Flexibility and organization
Experience:
– Experience in farm work is an asset
Skills:
– Crop management
– Sorting and grading produce
– Physical stamina
