Job Description/Overview:
The role involves a range of driving tasks, including handling dangerous goods, customer service, and vehicle maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
– Address customers’ complaints or concerns
– Demonstrate expertise in mountain driving
– Provide professional customer service
– Load and unload goods
– Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
– Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
– Perform preventive maintenance
– Receive and relay information to central dispatch
– Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
– Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo
– Transport and handle dangerous goods
Qualifications Needed:
– Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
– Certificates, Licenses, Memberships, and Courses:
– AZ class license
– Air Brakes Endorsement
– Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks)
Experience :
– Experience: Will train
– Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
