Job Description/Overview:
The Production & Inventory Analyst will be responsible for managing and optimizing the production and inventory levels of goods within the company. Your primary focus is to ensure that production processes run smoothly while minimizing inventory losses and maximizing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Proactively look after the inventory levels within the business, including WIP, Raw Materials and Finished Goods, ensuring supply levels are were they should be at all times to enable the production team to meet their required production targets, making sure that there is no excess stock or OOS (out of stock) items and minimising inventory risks.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Proactively analyse the data in production & inventory to identify trends, areas for improvement and any inefficiencies
- Health & Safety – Proactively follow the companies H&S policy at all time and report any failures/incident or possible risks to Management
- Continuous Improvement – Help identify issues, analyse root causes, and develop effective solutions and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste and lower costs.
- Admin Support within the IT/Systems Team – Ad-hoc admin support for the IT/Systems team as you will be working closely with other senior members of the company, and creating a cohesive work environment is a key factor in ensuring the wider business succeeds.
Qualifications needed
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management or a related field.
- Min of 2 yrs experience ( ideally 3-5 yrs) in a inventory management role within either a FMCG or Manufacturing environment.( bonus point if you have experience in supply chain planning)
- Must be familiarity with production processes, supply chain management principles, and industry best practices.(FMCG /Dairy preferred)
- Problem Solving Ability
- Able to pass a MOJ check, pre-employment medical and drug test
Experience:
Analytical Thinker – Experience with Excel – MUST BE ABLE TO CREATE AND USE PIVOT TABLES , ERP systems & inventory management software
